All characters have strengths and weaknesses that must be observed at all times in the game, as some cards have different effects for each.

Sir Patrick - Artist

Advantages

  •  Considered a great visual artist, he receives 10% more for each of his arts of all the animals portrayed.
  • This character is capable of performing such perfect sabotages that they cannot be discovered; therefore, no sabotage defense card can be used to get rid of his tricks.

Disadvantages

  •  He is more vulnerable to poisonous plants, being forced to spend an additional turn at rest to recover from their effects.
  • Unfortunately, he is not very diplomatic when it comes to hostile tribes and, therefore, cannot avoid these encounters, even if he has a negotiation card.

Mm. Maude - Maps and Navigation Specialist

Advantages

  •  Being a map specialist, she is not fooled by false guides and cannot be deceived.
  • Relics found by her are worth 10% more due to her vast knowledge in the area.

Disadvantages

  •  Unfortunately, she is more vulnerable to theft due to her fragility, and alarms do not protect her from these attacks.
  • She is also more vulnerable to attacks from wild animals, being forced to spend an additional turn at rest to recover from her injuries.

Mr. Sebastian - Biologist

Advantages

  •  As a biologist, this character has greater success in locating and investigating new species; therefore, he receives 10% more in the value of each of his discoveries.
  • He knows edible and poisonous plants very well and is not fooled — thus, he is considered immune to these plants.

Disadvantages

  •  Due to his age, he is more vulnerable to thieves, not being able to avoid them.
  • This character is also vulnerable to mosquitoes, requiring an additional turn for his recovery.

Sr. Vasquez - Explorer

Advantages

  •  This character has strong influence over the colony's rulers and, therefore, has diplomatic immunity: he never goes to prison and does not need the immunity card. If he finds the card, he must immediately put it back in the deck.
  • He is capable of performing such perfect sabotages that they cannot be discovered; therefore, no sabotage defense card can prevent his actions.

Disadvantages

  •  He is extremely vulnerable to tropical diseases, requiring one more turn for his recovery.
  • Unfortunately, he is not very diplomatic when it comes to hostile tribes and, thus, cannot avoid these encounters, even if he has a negotiation card.

Mei-Li - Archaeologist

Advantages

  •  As an experienced archaeologist and knowing the artifact market very well, she manages to double the value of the relics she finds.

Disadvantages

  •  She is more vulnerable to attacks from wild animals due to her delicacy, being forced to spend an extra turn to recover.
  • She is extremely vulnerable to tropical diseases, requiring an additional turn for her recovery.
  • She is also vulnerable to mosquitoes, requiring an additional turn for her recovery.

Kevin - Explorer

Advantages

  •  Strong and astute, he easily dodges thieves, who cannot steal anything from this man who is always on alert.
  • Always protected by a special boot, he is immune to snake bites and other poisonous animals.

Disadvantages

  •  On the other hand, he does not know much about poisonous plants, requiring an additional turn for his recovery.
  • This character is extremely vulnerable to tropical diseases, requiring one more turn to recover.

Sombugma - Explorer

Advantages

  •  He is a talented diplomat when it comes to hostile tribes and can easily avoid these encounters, not requiring a negotiation card. If he finds the card, he must immediately put it back in the deck.
  • This character is extremely resistant to tropical diseases, which hardly affect him, not hindering his activities.

Disadvantages

  •  Being a man of great personality, he does not relate well with local rulers; therefore, he cannot use the diplomatic immunity card. If he finds the card, he must immediately replace it in the deck.
  • Somewhat rushed, he does not stop to review his equipment and, as a result, is more vulnerable to sabotages. The anti-sabotage card cannot help him; if he finds it, he must put it back in the deck.

Uirapuru - Native Hunter

Advantages

  •  Deeply knowing the people of the region, he is the ideal diplomat when it comes to hostile tribes, not requiring a negotiation card. If he finds the card, he must immediately put it back in the deck.
  • This character is immune to tropical diseases.
  • Mosquitoes do not hinder this warrior's path in any way.

Disadvantages

  •  Due to his lack of knowledge about modern machines, he is vulnerable to sabotages, not being able to avoid them. The anti-sabotage card cannot help him; if he finds it, he must immediately put it back in the deck.
  • After many conflicts, he did not make alliances with the local rulers and, therefore, cannot use the diplomatic immunity card. If he finds the card, he must immediately put it back in the deck.
